Working late I had a stop just outside the stadium of the football club Sparta. Their stadium is nicknamed “Het Kasteel” (‘The Castle’)! you can see for yourself why that is the case 🙂 Founded in 1888, Sparta is the oldest professional football club in the Netherlands. Since 1916, the club has had its stadium in Rotterdam’s Spangen district.
