Just a nice evening sky, taken through the windshield of the tram … not the best picture ever but still quite successful! Hofplein with the Weena, center of Rotterdam!
A daily dose of Rotterdam since august 2019
I’m a bit quiet the last days and have to keep it up with images and some txt! Sorry for this but sometimes live has priority. But here’s a image of Rotterdam city center, Hofplein, with evening traffic caught through the lens from the “Luchtsingel” on my way home from work. I like the lights and colors, hope you do too!
Near the end of the day I was en route at the Schiedamseweg, corner Spanjaardstraat. The Schiedamseweg was built from 1910 and forms the connection from Delfshaven to Schiedam. The Schiedamseweg was laid out as a broad boulevard and central axis of the Bospolder / Tussendijken district. The construction of the Schiedamseweg was completed at the end of the 1920s. Historic Delfshaven is close by, one of the highlights in history of Delfshaven; 1620: The Pilgrim Fathers are accommodated for a short time in the Sint Anthonis Capel, from where they start the crossing to America.
I photographed already a ornament on the facade of the city hall but I didn’t show you the city hall! Here it is (the front of the city hall it is). With proudly displaying the flags of Rotterdam and the Netherlands. If you look closely you can see exactly the time I took this picture, not the day, about two weeks ago, sorry!
